You're exactly right. We would be drafting trubisky instead of mahomes at 3 if we take Mac over fields.

I knew I was probably forgetting someone. It's fitting that it'd be the one I saw play in person (as the 49ers QB) the most from that list.

What are we the Jets fanbase now? Y'all need to get a grip and let the pros do their thing

The front office has to read the social media and online posts, right? Like they shouldn't base their decisions on what their fans say but there is an overwhelming amount of anti Jones sentiment online. Are they really stupid enough to draft him and put him in an environment where the majority of fans didn't want him? If they pick mac it may go down as the most arrogant pick by a front office in history.

You do realize how fickle fans are right? Of course they want good publicity for their draft pick but far more important is getting it right. Fans will forget what their take was the minute the guy steps on the field and has success. And vice versa as well... The fans can absolutely love the pick and then he can go out there and throw multiple picks in a couple ugly losses and the tide can turn quickly into some hatred. All the front office is worried about is getting the pick right because that's all that matters in the long run.

You just said they shouldn't base their pick on fans opinions but then said they would be stupid if they didn't. That's a head scratcher.

Anyhow, Mac isn't bothered by fans wanting him or not...

Donovan McNabb comes to mind as one of the most hated picks by the fanbase ever. They wanted Ricky Williams so badly they lost their minds when Donovan was the pick.

Another one was JJ Watt. Texans fans freaked when his name was announced. They were outraged. Didn't last long lol.
