If you don't think there's stereotypes based on athletic ability and skin color you're being naive. Haven't heard a peep about Lawrence/Wilson as guys who scramble or "breaking a rib" on a run...yet those f**kers spend just as time out of the pocket as fields/Lance. Those guys play off script more than those dudes. They have designed run plays all the same...Yet you don't have a single fan in here saying they would take Mac over them...why?

Not a single person has said Lawrence/Wilson aren't athletic...it's looked at as a plus by most for them...Yet Lance/fields it comes off as a negative in here for some. Like they can't read a defense or play under structure?

Lawrence/Wilson play off script or outside of the pocket probably more than fields/Lance, yet not a single person would draft Mac over them? That's not seen as a negative for them BUT is for fields/Lance....why?

You don't know dick either, and neither does Shanahan judging by who he's passed on and moved up for. What we DO know is elite talent can be measured. And Jones does not have it. Fields and Lance do. Why is this so hard for you and others to grasp. It's a really simple concept. No need to get your panties all in a bunch, we're all going to root for the Niners, even if our QB is a fat racist who doesn't make plays with his feet and throws at or behind the LOS 60% of the time.

NO ONE is predicting how it will turn out. We're simply saying if we're going to give up all of that draft capital, then it only makes sense to draft a QB who has the potential to do it all. If we're going to go with a limited QB, then stay at 12, draft one later in the draft, or stick with Jimmy. No reason to trade up for just a "good" QB.

nah I backup a lot of what I say on prospects with film, articles, analytical stats etc. you just laugh at people and say they're not on the bandwagon or some s**t. really informative stuff

all we can do is look at the prospects, do as much homework as we can on them and evaluate. You got 4 QBs with high end traits that can make them top 5 in this league at some point. We have a roster and a coaching staff that should be able to make one of them special imo.

There's a f**k ton of data pointing out that Mac is damn near maxed out and limited in what he can become. There's players in the NFL with the same attributes that are simply good not great QBs. We have one on this team currently.

A lot of people are hoping he becomes something that is simply not realistic. It's not like he's some 4 yr starter (4 yr player though) that's got this big body of work showing he's more than a system QB either. He doesn't have the elite traits to get much better than what he is.

I don't hate Mac and I'll root for him much like I did for every meh QB that we've been forced to watch for 20 yrs. I hope he becomes Brady. I'm also not living in a fantasy land either.
