He's simply not better than the other options. I don't think he's a trash QB, I do not ever see being a top 5 QB in this league...you don't give up all that for him especially when you're planning on playing Jimmy this yr.

I don't think he will fail, I think all these QB would have success in SF...just massively different degrees of success.

I stopped reading when you said the 40 time was your standard on athleticism for QBs. I think a position like QB would be judged better on their short area quickness than strait line speed. Far better even to judge based on your eyeballs for no one would believe that Mahomes is less of an athlete than Mac because your selectively curated criteria says so.

The 40 time on a pro day is not a measure of athletic ability for a QB...I'm sorry that a horrible take. He ran the same 40 as Joe Flacco and Joe was 236lbs. It's also about how they play the game, he simply does not play the game athletically.
