This #anybodybutjimmy is just Ridiculous and comical at the same time especially by some of the posters who beat it to death.

I'm not a Jimmy truther but anyone saying Teddy or Sam are better is being ridiculous....now if Sam comes in for $4M and you still go get a top 4 QB in the draft. I'm listening.

Look at Tannehil after leaving Adam Gase. Went from bad to pretty darn good. I think Sam is more talented. I'd love to see him in SF next year and I like Jimmy when healthy. We can then afford the resign our guys and surround him with good talent. Get Slater at 12 and see how he does with Deebo/Ayuik/kittle and time.

??? Ryan Tannehill was good in Miami before Adam Gase got there. There's no precedent for Sam Darnold ever being good. He's been ass since his days at SC. I never understood the hype behind a guy who can't function from within the pocket. His entire game is hero ball.

Sam Darnold was one of the biggest products of the hype machine that we've ever seen.

Yeah, I've come to the conclusion that if Tannehill can turn it around - anyone can.

How can anyone judge his play ...he was with the frigging NY JETS..who have no structure/no nothing. I dont see it as a downgrade whatsoever

Because we watched him in college? And he's the exact same player he was at SC. Terrible footwork, terrible throwing mechanics, god awful decision making, can't function from within the pocket, etc. The dude's best attribute is playing off-script hero ball. When he's running around and letting it rip, he's impressive. But when you force him to play from within the pocket, on time and in rhythm, he's awful. Sam Darnold is the type of QB that keeps his own team AND the opposing one in the game.

If Shanny truly wants Sam Darnold, it'll shock me because he's the antithesis of everything we believe Shanny wants in a QB(ie pocket passer, scheme executor, etc.)

Jimmy Garoppolo >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Sam Darnold. And it's not close. Sam Darnold is a bridge to getting John Lynch's ass fired next offseason.

Tannehill's worst season is a lot better than Darnold's best season.

Tannehill was almost out of the league before he turned it around.

This. Darnold for Jimmy straight swap is ugh, Darnold as a bridge for a higher potential QB while freeing enough money to strengthen the overall team is much more delicious.

Yeah for a 6th round pick I'm all for it. He's not worth more than that.
2 QB's?

sweet!
