Really? Doubt Shanny and Lynch are interested in yet another revolving door of quarterbacks. They seem to value continuity and this would just be a ticket to getting both of them fired.

Darnold has such a higher ceiling, my issue is how is he going to look year 1 in the system and was it the Jets failing him or is he just flat out bad. I'm in the small minority thinking Jets failed him and he can look better elsewhere but who really knows. Just watching some of his highlights he makes throws I never seen Jimmy make when things break down and plays broke down a lot with that oline. If he's Kyle's guy so be it but if he fails Kyle is going to have a hot seat.

I pray for Watson or just go balls out or trade up for the QB you want between Wilson, Fields or Lance but I don't think the Jets are passing on Wilson fml

Dont know about that higher ceiling my man. He'll occasionally make some "wow" throws but has way more bad ones. His pocket presence is terrible, almost as bad as Beathard's. Coaching can only fix so much of that.

Dear god, I don't know how Shanahan can sit down, watch this, and think I can fix this. I forgot Darnold threw two pick-6s in one game, neither of which was under duress. This is who he was at USC: a turnover machine. The dude threw tons of INTs and fumbled the ball.

Watson threw 30 ints his last two yrs in Clemson.

Honestly I think Sam would be a cheap bridge QB for a young QB that they draft, same as Jimmy just $20M cheaper.

I got a weird feeling this is gonna happen and we actually gonna get more then people think for Jimmy in a trade.

jimmy has proven, WHEN HEALTHY, that he can produce in this system. what has darnold ever proven? he's missed a lot of time too, and even when he IS healthy, he's looked mediocre at best. This would be a complete disaster and i hope to f**k that shanahan isn't actually considering acquiring darnold TO START HIM

This guy has all the tools. Except sucks at the most important ones.

Yea but Deshaun Watson was good. Sam Darnold is a bridge to last place and John Lynch getting fired.

Sean Mcvay must be laughing his ass off and licking his chops knowing he's got Matt Stafford now and Shanahan may end up with Sam f**king Darnold.
