Just want to post in this thread for this.

I would definitely take him for a 2nd
We'll see. Kyle has enough tape on him to make that decision.

I want in in that $10 too lol.

We will probably see what can happen after the regular season is over. If we feel like Lawrence, Fields, and Lance will be gone by the time we pick, then we should make a play for Darnold. And it wont cost a 2nd. 3rd at most.

IMO if we could get him for a 3rd that would be a steal. I know people are not high on him because he's hasn't looked very good. But the Jets are arguably the worst franchise in the league with almost zero talent. He is very young and talented and I thing his mechanics could be fixed with out much issue. I would love this

He is very talented. Coming out of college, there were very few QBs that graded higher than him in the history of the draft.

My only issue is, is he "broken goods" already? We've seen this happen to other talented QBs who had to play for bad teams and they were never able to overcome it. Its hard to unteach all that crap and forna player to regain their confidence.

I have never really paid close attention to Darnold other than box scores and a few plays here and there.

He plays Monday night against NE, I plan on paying attention to how he looks and not just the box score.

Not really a fan or non-fan of him, but the rumblings of him being a possible option for SF has me a little more curious.

He wont impress, right now that offense is awful. Bad OL, no WRs, no TEs, no RBs...its a mess.
Please let's not

He has some great flashes and had great talent at USC and still was pretty meh his sophomore year imo. Loved him as a freshman though.

I thought Matt Leinert was going to be so good and the 49ers were going to get him. He went back to school I think partly because the 49ers were such a mess as an organization. That worked out sort of for the 49ers, but they picked the wrong guy in hindsight.

USC QBs just aren't very good in the NFL. Carson Palmer was probably their best pro, and he was not close to a Hall of Famer.

I thought Darnold was going to be awesome when I saw him against Penn State as a freshman. Next year he was a mixed bag.

Does he have to be a starter or can he be on the bench? Asking the hard questions here

How about as a coach once he retires?

Don't bother. He's been ruled doubtful for MNF after missing an entire week of practice.
