Lol.. no..
Trubustky has been better in the NFL than Darnold who's getting worse as time passed. Darnold's issues are much more extreme than Mitch.
Did the kick by the Panthers got the distance?
Do not want. This guy was at USC throwing boneheaded picks against inferior teams, in spots that did not warrant picks at all. Horrible decisions, horrible field vision.

I'd pass, especially if the 9ers draft in the top 10.

Nope. As pointed out he goes into INT machine mode too much

It could be a lot worse. At least Jimmy G doesn't have more interceptions than touchdowns in his career. That is pathetic no matter what team you are on.

Exactly and now he's a free win for any team that plays against him
I've had the (mis)fortune of watching almost every single game he's started for the Jets. This guy is not the answer for the Jets—or anyone. For every nice throw or athletic play, there are at least two head scratchers. Plus, as others have mentioned, he's starting to see ghosts (ie, David Carr syndrome). You don't just "fix" a guy like that.

I laughed
The thing the doubters need to understand is Darnold's been in a poisonous environment called The Jets his entire NFL career. Who knows what he could do under Shanahan...he could be really good. I wouldn't be totally opposed to him coming to SF. My druthers would be to get Matt Ryan...he could excel in Coach's offense, we know that. He could also buy time for whatever young QB they draft to eventually replace Jimmy. Downside for that scenario is the cap hit Ryan would create. There's no perfect scenario other than whomever they draft excelling from the get-go. That's pretty unlikely, but not impossible. Whatever, they first have to commit to trading Jimmy. I'll bet BB would take him back, given their QB dilemma.

Agree!
I'd rather take a shot at a 1st or 2nd QB than D'Arnold. I'd like to see what Kyle can do with a QB with a 1st or 2nd round grade to develop. D'Arnold is due a 5th year option one year from now, then he'd need an extension. Unless we can get him for a day 3 pick, which will not happen, pass.

We have understood he's on the Jets however being a part of that organization doesn't excuse a player like Darnold from throwing ints like they're going out of style. Being on the Jets doesn't make you inaccurate or make horrendous decisions.

Being on the Jets without weapons or a good coach dies excuse him for holding the ball too long bc of the lack of help however like I said before does NOT excuse him from being a horrible qb. He would do better on any other offense but unless he becomes more accurate and stops turning the ball over it won't matter anyway.

As far as Matt Ryan goes, with probably the best or second best wr group and a good rb, decent ol and tes, I'd expect him to preform a lot better and win more games. On offense he takes too many sacks and throws ints that are serious head scratchers. He's not good under pressure and for 40 million no thanks. We also don't have Mack at center so he will struggle even more than Jimmy G with no Julio or Ridley

Exactly. Sam Darnold had bad tendencies way before the Jets. This guy isnt as good a thrower as he thinks he is, stares down receivers, forces balls in places he has no business throwing, doesn't understand game situations, has sloppy footwork and tries to make tough throws in spots he simply doesnt HAVE to make them.

I concur Good thing Shanahan won't get this guy next year at least I hope.
