There's nothing to talk about. Guy is not a good QB. Was way overrated coming out of college, and has shown exactly that. I don't care that he's on a s**tty team. He hasn't shown any ounce of promise. Especially to trade for.
Nobody paid any attention to his college film. Horrible decision making which you can get away with in college. He's just not that good.

Lol.. no..
I remember when certain people on the zone were ready to risk it all for Mitch.

Unsure what to make of Darnold. Talent is there but he was put in a bad position with the Jets, not great coaching, not a lot of talent around him to support him, he's still young enough that he could develop into the star QB he was expected to be or he could continue down the Blaine Gabbert path and forever be a guy that failed to live up to his draft position. The talent, the leadership ability and the athleticism are all there but he hasn't been able to put it together thus far and you wonder just how much of a difference a change of scenery would make for him.
Has injury history. Perfect fit for this team

Add to that he's got a bum shoulder. No head coach in his right mind would take on a QB with an injured shoulder.

I'm always curious what Shanny could do with any QB . My concern is when Shanny gets attached

Nope. We'd him for a single season and then there's the 5th year option. And then he'd be due an extension. I'd rather Shanny work with a talented QB that can push Jimmy (a 1st or 2nd round pick).
True. But is there any evidence to show he's too attached at this point? Please dont count Trent Taylor because it's not like Taylor has big bucks or a draft pick behind him. I'm talking Dante Pettis, CJ Beathard, or Joe Williams type of attachment.
They are replacing and dropping guys. It may not be at the rate people would like, but it is happening.

His latest adventure puts him off-limits. His head is not in the game.

You cannot judge him by his time in NY and I would definitely take a chance if available. The Jets are a complete and total embarrassing mess and he played well enough to show potential. He just needs some good receivers, the right system and coaching.

💯 Agree. Let him and Jimmy compete for the job while developing a RC. I have 0 confidence in our backup situation right now. At worst we can have Darnold as a backup instead of Mullen's.
