I guess we better find another backup. I don't think JG is going anywhere.

might not work keeping JG also
USC QBs don't deal well with career adversity. Except, Carson Palmer to some degree was successful after injury and Cincinnati. Mark Sanchez went to 2 AFC Championships before falling apart (or falling into a butt).
PAC 12 QBs are usually suspect IMO since defenses in the conference are usually Swiss cheese compared to SEC defenses. The lone exception are Cal QBs since the good QBs to come out of Cal had to carry their whole team compared to USC QBs which have stacked talent around them

I still believe the bowl game he played against PSU as a sophomore was the best college QB performance I've ever watched. Unfortunately, that seems to have been his peak.

He looks like a backup until he proves otherwise

Just saw a tweet he's gone 122 consecutive passes without a TD.
Con: he sucks
pro: He isn't on the 49ers.

put Mahomes on the Jets in 2018 and 2019 and see how good he is.

Was just thinking about this dude. Somebody like the bears are probably gonna snatch him up and be willing to pay way more than we are.

Chiefs had a top 10 O-Line with one of the games best WR's and TEs. This is a foolish conversation. A stable coaching staff too.

Point being Mahomes would do a lot better than Darnold on the jets. Forgetting the talent, Darnold makes poor decisions and is inaccurate. Throws too many ints. Mahomes does none of this. It's not even debatable. Maybe Mahomes goes for 25-30 tds with 4000 yards and 10 ints at the most
