Probably just a hot take and i know he likes to hear himself talk and all, but 'c'mon man' you sound like a buffoon.

Interesting if you think about it.
When it comes to prospects we look at "ceilings" & "potential".
We discredit the accomplishments of certain prospects due to supporting cast and systems. We only look at, well not only but we mainly look at physical attributes.
Some even try to put one prospect in the other's shoes and make an argument.
Interesting the bounds we go to make our arguments. (Including me)

No front runner can ever be the best ever. Not at any position, not on any team, and not in any sport.

I agree they were just stroking each other's egos but if their NFL careers were college and we used their numbers for the draft.
People would want to trade up for Moss and/or TO over Rice.

Rice's numbers were insane in college. That's how he even got attention in the first place.

Moss was basically only good for the deep pass and end zone fade. Also only played hard sometimes.
Rice could do it all.
Rice could do it all.

I have no problem with what he said......I mean....what's he gonna say when asked the question? 'I think I'm in the top 10.' Most people know what Moss is all about. These guys all have egos and such......he was on T.O.'s podcast and put him second. He's arguably the second best ever, so if you're THAT good....you can make a case...I guess.
Jerry Rice is the best I've ever seen, and there are guys whom I'd place much higher in NFL history than history will remember them - Sterling Sharpe, Paul Warfield, John Jefferson to name a few. And Owens should learn a little about Rice's history - when the dude broke out in 1986 leading the NFL in yards and TD's, he did so more with Jeff Kemp and Mike Moroski as his QB's than he did with Montana. Point being, Rice would dominate any time, any where with pretty much most any QB.

Rice never took a play off...Moss has admitted taking whole seasons off.

Moss and TO both had a chance to be #1 but turned into DIVAs. Moss is #2. TO is distance 3 maybe.

Added Moss: "I don't want the fans and the people watching you all's podcast to get it messed up that we dislike or discredit anything Jerry Rice was able to do or ever accomplish. I think when you look at the top of the pedestal, when you see that Jerry Rice's name is at the top, then when you look at the numbers that he had, and then you start calculating and stuff like that, I've got to play this many years to obtain this? The heck with all that. I just want to play football and just be an impactful type of ball player. I don't want people to really think myself and T.O. is slandering or bashing anything Jerry did because Jerry was the pedestal. He was at the top of it."

While he is one of the greats Moss is suffering from delusions of grandeur. Can't blame pot on that, this was a preexisting condition.
