Idk... Imo it's gonna be very hard to move him until this investigation is finished. Besides teams being scared of giving up a lot for him, it's also how the team will be perceived in the media, and then in locker room. It's a really tough sell.

I agree it will be a very hard sale. The same was said when Vick went to the Eagles. After a few games the dog fighting talk simmered and people were only discussing his MVP deserving performance. They still had protests but even those got smaller as the Eagles season continued. Now the Watson scenario will involve paying valuable assets to receive the distraction so it's not an apples to apples comparison but I just think with the 24 hour news cycle it will be forgotten sooner rather than later.

Difference is Vick "paid" his dues. He went to prison and then got his 2nd chance, and ya even then there was still a lot of backlash like you said.

Our society rightfully so likes dogs more than other humans. And it is Florida so they may embrace Watson with open arms

I keep referring to the late Al Davis, his philosophy was simple, "Just Win Baby".

Yes, but most American also defend dogs much more aggressively than they do women, so Vick was fighting an uphill battle in the court of public opinion.

Instead of waiting on future Lance potential, send him to Houston to fit in with their timeline. Get Watson to fit in with our win now desires.
The problem is not having anything else to add to the trade to make it happen and I'm not giving up any stars. Miami definitely has most to offer them
