Watson "Okay."
Hopefully the did extensive research that he will be the same player

If it does not fit, you must acquit.

I say this is good, for the players. More players should demand fully guaranteed contracts more often. I'm happy for him.

Yep. This is the type of fully guaranteed contract everyone thought Mahomes was gonna demand. Instead he took a relatively cheap deal over the long term. Maybe this will help kill the salary cap in the NFL in one way or another.

Mahomes is going to have way more endorsements and marketability than Watson, especially if his team keeps winning.
Dam so Cleveland worked his contract that his base salary this year is only 1 million for this year. So when he's suspended he'll lose the minimal amount of money. That's crazy

Kind of f**ked up to protect an alleged creep. I'm hoping at worse he just has a thing for going to different masseuse and was unintentionally weird about it. But 22 people is damning.
I wonder if it ever entered their minds when they were offering three firsts, additional picks, $230m, the obscene 100% guaranteed part, I wonder if they ever thought, just for a second that they were quite possibly over paying? Up to Goodell now to bring about the most Cleveland moment ever when Watson is suspended. I'll bet he effs it up cuz he's Goodell.

That wasn't the point. Lol..but okay, agreed?
The fact they gave him 1 year base pay for year one because they assume he's guilty and still gave him 230m speaks volumes for how desperate they are to not suck. Basically saying he might be a rapist but that's ok as long as he makes us not suck

Its the only way they could ever secure a real franchise QB.

The point is that it's in Mahomes best interest to leave money for the Chiefs to sign other guys (like Juju) so he can make more in endorsements and strengthen his brand long-term like Brady did. Watson doesn't really have that option since his brand is toxic right now and his team's have kinda sucked.

Yeah except it wasn't. How about this? You offer a 3rd this year and a 5th next for Matt Ryan. You get a HOF QB with a couple years left while you have a great o-line and great D. Falcons ate like half his contract is my understanding and took a mere 3rd. We will see who gets more results Indy vs Cleveland I'm betting Indy. Ryan is a pro and he didn't sit on the couch all season last year eating take out.

Ryan is old sure but so's Rodgers and Brady they are winning MVPs. Ryan is a top 10 all time yards and TDs he's a HOF QB. You give him a D, a ground game, some coaching, it could be a super season. Cleveland has all that.

I get the idea that Watson is more prime more years ahead but look at the costs involved. Three firsts and $230 fully gtd million is full on insane. Ryan for a third and ATL ate a lot of the deal is dirt cheap by comparison. Indy made a way better move and as stated that's what's fun about the season we will see which team got it right. Looking forward to it. Watson sure makes CLE more interesting and a team to watch.
he's not out of the perverted woods yet.

A second grand jury is considering taking Watson back to court with another case.
