Considering all the suspension and legal issues still surrounding him Browns effed up so hard on this. I mean they overpaid even without all that. Paid the dude more than Mahomes with 3 firsts to boot what in the world..

I say this is good, for the players. More players should demand fully guaranteed contracts more often. I'm happy for him.
Yep. This is the type of fully guaranteed contract everyone thought Mahomes was gonna demand. Instead he took a relatively cheap deal over the long term. Maybe this will help kill the salary cap in the NFL in one way or another.
Mahomes is going to have way more endorsements and marketability than Watson, especially if his team keeps winning.
That wasn't the point. Lol..but okay, agreed?
The point is that it's in Mahomes best interest to leave money for the Chiefs to sign other guys (like Juju) so he can make more in endorsements and strengthen his brand long-term like Brady did. Watson doesn't really have that option since his brand is toxic right now and his team's have kinda sucked.
I understand that. Lol. But thats besides the point of what im saying. Lmaooo. Mahomes should've demanded a fully guaranteed contract regardless of endorsements hes gonna get anyways. Salary cap was only created to stop Eddie DeBartolo and Jerry Jones. At least from what I've read. It'd be nice to get rid of it. Watson getting a fully guaranteed contract shakes up the whole idea of it if moving forward all QBs are gonna demand fully guaranteed money.

So Browns may be in the QB market after all? Um, Cleveland do you like Subway sandwiches? Cuz there's this guy...

I think somewhere, behind closed doors, Texans are already laughing and popping the champagne. If you listen close you can pretty much hear it.

Texans like "thanks for the draft picks and taking all the s**t smells around here" whether he's innocent or not. They can rebuild this now without all the negative news moving forward. This might blow up on Browns face for the assets and money they are giving up. Even if nothing happens, this s**t will follow Watson wherever he goes. Yikes!

Looks like he wasn't indicted again…I was pissed that he ruined our chances of trading Jimmy by breaking loose Ryan and Baker. But after these reports coming out it doesn't look like we were going to get any offers anyway.

It was a long saga but Cleveland and their front office can breathe a sigh of relief. Now it's simply a matter of outplaying Mahomes and winning the SB to justify that contract.

Adam Shefter just said the contract is guaranteed regardless of the outcome of any of the cases.
Even if innocent this has to be the dumbest contract in all of sports.

Bill Polian was on sirius and agrees with your statement.
He said this contract could be catastrophic to the NFL.
I believe he also said no trade clauses are technically not in the CBA so teams essentially don't have to acknowledge them.

Definitely the most desperate looking contract ever if anything. Lol
