This dude should have been released. He's completely toxic. Heads will roll in CLE for the move they made. Not literal heads.. I'm talking about someone being laid off maybe 1 or 2 ppl..
Scum like Watson should have been placed on the commissioner's exempt list a long time ago.

Yeah, I think they(the NFL and Cleveland) are doing whatever they can to sweep this under the rug.

NFL doesn't want to sweep it under the rug.. as they would be culpable in the eyes of the public for covering up Watson's misdeeds.. NFL gonna nuke Watson. Not literally nuke him.. but in a full year or more suspension type of way...
NFLPA plans to vigorously fight any suspension of Watson. Here is the case they will make:

As for the NFLPA's strategy once the discipline is handed down, it plans to argue that any suspension for Watson without pay would be excessive in the wake of light treatment of three NFL owners who were recently involved in off-the-field transgressions: Commanders owner Daniel Snyder, Patriots owner Robert Kraft and Cowboys owner Jerry Jones.

They have a point, the main difference is the sheer number of cases against Deshaun, the behaviour is pretty similar though.

Although what he's done is pretty warped, I remind everyone calling him scum or toxic that he's not had any criminal charges brought against him.

Edit - I'm not sure they can argue that his conduct isn't "detrimental to the league's conduct policy" The straw man argument is a bit weak.

The fact that he hasn't had a criminal indictment is more of an indictment on our court system than him being some kinda great guy. Multiple women have accused him of pulling out deshaun jr and being sexually aggressive, he's had 66 massages from many different women in 17 months. Not the kinda dude we should be idolizing and as far as goodell letting owners off the hook for the same thing, that's enough reason for Goodell to get fired imo.

All anyone on the outside can do is take the information presented and develop an informed opinion. Here, we've got 24 (and counting?) accusers all stating varying degrees of harassment happened. Combine that with Watson admitting to having 60+ therapists he hired, text messages he sent to at least one AFTER apologizing for his behavior and just other little details. I think a lay person would come to the conclusion that AT MINIMUM he was an aggressive sexual harasser. At worst a rapist. We will see what happens long term but he should be suspended indefinitely until all of the civil trials are heard and a judgement made. This means a 2+ year suspension and possibly more.

Just because the grand jury didn't indict him doesn't mean he didn't sexually assault these women.
He's really about to get away with this huh??...

Man I hope he never makes the HOF even if he has the resume for it. Not shocked the nfl is trying to keep this under the rug.

I love the sport but man the suits behind this is despicable..

He has nothing remotely close to a HOF resume. He has only played 4 seasons and won 1 playoff game. NFL is currently investigating his situation and is expected to throw down a major suspension.
should be a year but who knows what these fools will do

Im more talking hypothetical in the future if he survives this mess and comes back to being elite.
