Yeah, I think they(the NFL and Cleveland) are doing whatever they can to sweep this under the rug.
As for the NFLPA's strategy once the discipline is handed down, it plans to argue that any suspension for Watson without pay would be excessive in the wake of light treatment of three NFL owners who were recently involved in off-the-field transgressions: Commanders owner Daniel Snyder, Patriots owner Robert Kraft and Cowboys owner Jerry Jones.

NFLPA plans to vigorously fight any suspension of Watson. Here is the case they will make:

They have a point, the main difference is the sheer number of cases against Deshaun, the behaviour is pretty similar though.
Although what he's done is pretty warped, I remind everyone calling him scum or toxic that he's not had any criminal charges brought against him.
Edit - I'm not sure they can argue that his conduct isn't "detrimental to the league's conduct policy" The straw man argument is a bit weak.

He's really about to get away with this huh??...
Man I hope he never makes the HOF even if he has the resume for it. Not shocked the nfl is trying to keep this under the rug.
I love the sport but man the suits behind this is despicable..

He has nothing remotely close to a HOF resume. He has only played 4 seasons and won 1 playoff game. NFL is currently investigating his situation and is expected to throw down a major suspension.
