Now the Texans franchise is getting sued lol. This is a smoking tire fire.

Where are all those people that were arguing that Buzbee was doing this to help out the Texans because he lived down the street from the Texans old owner?

You can check me in as being wrong on that front.

just cause it came back to bite the texans in the butt doesn't mean buzz and texans weren't involved in bringing down watson

Texans did have the dirt on watson before he wanted off the Texans
NFL has informed Deshaun Watson, players' union and disciplinary officer it will recommend an indefinite suspension of at least a year

After suspended for a year get this.. he would have to apply for reinstatement to the league.. they gave up 3 ones for this bleep.. i just can't get over it..

This photo below will not age well for the guys alongside Watson.

Naw I think the Texans were helping to make sure this didn't go to criminal court where they were more likely to be exposed of covering up some of his behavior. Texans were in to save there own asses more than worrying about taking him down. He did that to himself.

The Texans had dirt on Watson because their organization was complicit in some of this s**t. Exposing Watson would have meant opening themselves up to criticism and financial liability.

They definitely would have preferred to send him packing quietly without all this crap surfacing.
Thought experiment. Suppose CLE releases Watson today. Do you think teams would rush to sign him? Would they pay him top dollar? Would you want the 49ers to sign him?

yeah right.. they were pissed from the start when Watson announced he wanted to leave the org.. Owner and GM said he wasn't going any where and would let him sit the whole time. After Watson kept getting more and more attention on which team he would end up on... up comes a scandal that Texans had no intention to help Watson and let him fend on his own.. now, it's just biting them in the arse. but corporations know how to defend themselves so i doubt anything major happens

Just MHO:
Do you think teams would rush to sign him? No. Not rush, but some would keep tabs and make an offer once it's clear all obstacles to playing are removed.
Would they pay him top dollar? No. Would not consider unless the entire ordeal is guaranteed finished and there are no further obstacles to him playing.
Would you want the 49ers to sign him? Hell No. We're good with Trey.
Watson's lawyers had an idea a year-long suspension was a real possibility, that's why the first year of the contract is only worth $1M+.

Smart, but scumbag-ish all at once.
