Deshaun Watson

1 year suspension to be handed out.

To miss 1 preseason game, they choose which one after appeal.

Why would he play a pre season game if he's suspended for the year?

Trade for JG. Have him start the one preseason game. Problem solved.
I didn't think the browns could get dumber but every year they just up it.

Why would you give him that big contract a full year out of football. Let alone the two years out of football after the suspension.

Look how taking years off played out for recent good players: leveon bell, Antonio brown, teddy Bridgewater. They were shells of themselves. AP was the only exception.

Also Watson is a stat queen anyway. No good QB ever went 4-12 even putting up numbers.

If he was good he would have at least managed a 7-9 season with everything falling apart.

He's overrated. Will not be surprised one bit if he's only a shell of himself when/if he ever plays again and the browns still sit below .500

The Browns are pretty dumb. You ever see this guy go far in the playoffs? Jimmy G goes further. An overrated athletic QB. With hugely questionable personal decisions.
Panthers now have the #1 and #3 pick from the 2018 draft and they drafted neither of them lol. Baker and Darnold can have discussions on who is the bigger bust. Also looking at that draft I didn't realize Barkley was drafted that high. #2 overall. It's weird seing RB's drafted in the top 10, let alone the top 5. I guess it was a different time back then. Even though it was only 4 years ago.

Darnold, easily. Baker looks like a serviceable starter, maybe not a franchise QB but good enough to hold the fort down for awhile. Darnold has been awful for two teams.

I don't get the hate for Baker. He's a former #1 overall who was drafted into the Hue Jackson Browns. In 3 years, he did the unthinkable and led them to a playoff W. They didn't even have their HC that game.

In 2020, he had a better QBR than Stafford in 2021. Arrow trending up in a big way. I believe Week 2 2021, he tears off his non throw shoulder and it impacted his entire season the rest of the way. It's like people are not factoring that injury in any way when analyzing the player. Hard to say Baker busted in CLE. They are at the important do we give a second contract phase.. and decided no.. doesn't mean he's a bust.. lots of good players don't get the 2nd contract.. especially now.. a 2nd contract for a QB can be 20-50 million annual.. huge commitment.. they panicked out of Baker to Watson.. we can see now it was a total mistake.. should have extended Baker or if they wanted to move on go with Matty Ice.

You do realize Baker has a top 5 roster around him? A Great defense, very good wrs, good TEs and the best rb tandem in the nfl. Did I forget to mention the BEST OL???? Still, he did horrible with all of that???

Id he was drafted late in the 1st RD it might not be as much of an issue but as the #1 overall pick you are suppose to be better than he has been so far. In his 4 years he has yet to throw 30 TD passes in a season, His highest CPT is 63.8 and the best passer rating was 95.9. He has also never thrown 4000 yards in a season. And he has been surrounded by alot of talent for 2 of those 4 years.
Texans reach settlements with 30 women. They wash their hands in Watson affair. Wonder the payout on this one. I am guessing not cheap.

If Texans paid off 30 women and Deshaun is being sued by 24-26 does that mean there's more lawsuits on the way?
