When the cost is probably 3 to 4 times a much? Hell yes. The cost to get Watson would torpedo this franchise for a decade.
The idea that it would take 3 or 4 TIMES as much to trade for Watson is absurd to me.
The STARTING price is three years of first and second rounders PLUS a high end roster player. f**k that, we might get one ring in before the mess catches up to us but our roster would be a dumpster fire for a decade after. His cap hit in two years if 40 million.....you wont even be able resign what we have much less cover the holes he creates in free agency. Compare that to one year of losing a few picks to secure a high end rookie talent and actually create 20 million in cap room? Yeah I am going with the rookie....Watson at the price that is being reported us f**king stupid.
Trading up for Wilson would likely cost 3 first round picks, if he in fact would be taken 2nd or 3rd like most mocks are saying. So 9 to 12 first round picks for Watson? Hook me up with what you are smoking on sir.
And his cap hit is completely irrelevant. Restructures are a thing.
Trading up to 3 from 12 would not cost three 1sts. Give me some of what you're smoking.
Our 2021 1st and 2022 1st is all it would take in terms of first rounders. Obv would have to add in a mix of a few 2nds-4ths over the next couple years as well.

That being said, I'd love to have him.
Give me Wilson, Watson, or Stafford as starting QB in 2021 and I'm happy.
Keep Jimmy and draft Mac Jones and i won't be thrilled but will be slightly content w some competition for Jimmy and blue chip prospect insurance if he gets hurt.

He's a top end qb talent who is only 25. His cap number in 2020 is only 15 mil. Watson could elevate this team even if the rest of the roster regresses a little bit. I would do whatever it takes.

Listening to the radio these guys are making me wanna call them cussing up a storm talking about trading Bosa, Kittle, Warner along gutting draft picks and even bringing up trading Kyle. This team doesn't need Watson to win a SB, I'm not trading cornerstones then not being able to find them after trading most your picks. It's a whole bunch of picks and Jimmy or nothing, your trying to surround Watson with playmakers and a good d not giving up 30 and putting pressure on him to score 35.
