Is this the worst signing in the history of the league? His cap hit for the next three years is brutal.

yeah the contract absurdity, his off field situation absurdity, the draft capital given up, the suspension, his lost play time and skill erosion
it all adds up to they took a swing and struck out, but well played for swinging
maybe they'll package some ones, if they still have them and move on Russ Wilson in the offseason

Browns gunna brown...
So easy to see something like this coming. The red flags were there...
Guy will be in and out playing a couple games here and there just going through the motions until he collects all his contract.

I mean giving a dude who has not played in a year with off the field issues a huge guaranteed contract.
You knew he would either suck or get hurt.
The precedence is there for pretty much all the recent gap year players... Ab, bell, blackmon....etc... the only one who came back good was AP.
Pretty much every other one has been markedly worse.
You also knew with his attitude not taking responsibility and being all defensive he was going to be a problem as well.

Deshaun Washed Son.
Not the start Deshaun Watson was looking for today vs. the Cowboys:
— Ari Meirov (@MySportsUpdate) September 8, 2024
• 24/45
• 169 passing yards
• 1 TD
• 2 INTs
• 51.1 passer rating pic.twitter.com/nk1hDvwBiC
As a reminder, Deshaun Watson carries a $72.9 million cap hit in 2025 AND 2026.

It's the worst contract ever.

What's funny is for everyone kicking Kyle for passing on Mahommes, Mahommes wasn't considered a top 5 or even top 10 pick. Watson was. But it wouldn't be cool to come out and say now Kyle should've picked Watson. Waaaaaayyy cooler to do the hindsight thing and say he should've picked Mahommes.
Crazy there's such a steep drop off. Mark Rypien like.

Oh there used to be plenty of guys saying that too. Now it's back to just Mahomes.

He just doesn't look like a good QB. Inaccurate all over the place. Wow. Purdy is much more of a dart thrower than this. He just wants to run.

Thankfully they lucked into drafting Purdy
