Yes.

I like the continuity. Keep the same voices in the players ears. But I'm curious to know his coaching style.
Being a first time coordinator and play caller, we have to expect growing pains. The first quarter of the season could be rough.

Well, that probably depends on the shape of the D in 2021. If there is a serious turnover then yes. But if the basic shape remains with maybe just a few changes then Ryans ought to slip into his new role fairly seamlessly. They know him, they respect him.

I definitely like the continuity on both sides of the ball and staying in-house with the coaching hires.
Was really hoping the team could find a way to add a guy like Raheem Morris to the staff. I think adding another experienced mind to the defense would only be beneficial to a first time playcaller like Ryans. Looks like Morris is getting some looks at defensive coordinator though.

They still could/might add an experienced mind. Ryans and Shanny do need an ILB coach now so...

Not really they could just revert Johnny Holland back to that. They slightly changed his role in 2018 to just outside linebacker coach/run game specialist (before that he coached all the linebackers) to make room for Ken Norton just for him to leave days later to be Seattle's dc. They just ended up promoting Ryans from quality control afterwards because at that same time Vrabel wanted to add Ryans to a position on his staff.

It's possible they still add someone but I'd like to see someone who has extensive background in coverages. That tends to be the biggest adjustment for new playcallers/coordinators how to blend coverages and of course lacking situational experience.

This. I'm seeing the players loving this move. Hopefully he does well. The players always loved Saleh, but it was rough at first with some of his schemes and growing pains.

LETS GO MECO !!!!

Bring more blitz in this thanggg !!!

Great info. I forgot that they had to shift some coach's roles because they wanted Ken. I didn't know Jonny Holland was that guy.

Also just found out that Demeco is around 34, the Webzone article said he's the youngest (I think) DC in the NFL. Wow.

The league has been taken over by coaches in their 30s.
