Really disappointed in the rams game, but I'm sure he will get better with experience. He did fantastic at the end of the year.

I think McVay just knew us to well from seeing us a third time this season and found a cavity in our secondary. OBJ as I feared was a huge factor and the Rams X-Factor. We have to continue to add to our secondary

His defense held the Rams to 20 points. That should be enough to win.

it is a huge win to get him back for another year. Continuity is huge.

I like DeMeco...does the NFCCG loss mean he might be retained?
EDIT: Just saw the article below. Glad he is staying!

Defense played like chumps last night. Taunting, personal fouls, late hits, headhunting? What the f**k was all that trash. We haven't done that s**t all year. Completely out of character. I'm not too mad we blew the lead, that happens. I'm more upset we lost composure in the biggest moments of the game.

Can't argue that. Safeties played like ass, blown coverages, 255 yards to OBJ and Kupp, late to assignments, critical dropped INT, etc.

Just another aspect of the entire team s**tting the bed together to blow a 10 point lead with 9 minutes to go. Unreal.

Ryans called a decent game, held the high powered rams to 20pts, my main issue was this ...HOW IN GODS NAME DO YOU NOT DOUBLE TEAM COOPER KUPP?
IM NOT LETTING THE BEST WR IN THE LEAGUE BEAT ME

I think we helped with coop a bit…. Then obj started thriving. Could be wrong

It was kind of a pick your poison thing. Both Kupp and OBJ are more than capable of beating most CBs one on one. If you double one then the the other is open. The only answer is better corners that can cover one on one.

I can't imagine the rams with woods on the field with those 2. I hope they can't afford at least one of them next year.

OBJ will get paid by a garbage team, no way LA can afford him but then again they run with no salary cap so I won't be surprised
The Vikings job is a good job. It is not Jaguars, Texans, Jets, etc. It means a lot to reject that 2nd interview.

He probably saw the writing on the wall with Harbaugh.

I thought the same thing.
Glad he is staying. I like his defense more than Saleh.

Give him a good man coverage CB so he can do what he wants to do. I think losing Verrett so early put a crimp on the offseason talk about being more aggressive when it comes to pressing WRs at the line. He has shown to adjust his defense accordingly based on the opposition which I like to see. As he gains more experience and confidence, I think we'll start seeing even more diverse gameplans.

Wow, thl, get out of my head, dude. I was coming in here to post about how better the defense could've been with a healthy Jason Verrett. Unfortunately, I don't think we have the draft resources to get a true lockdown man corner. Those guys typically go early in the first. If they want one, they're going to have to pay for one or trade for one. I have no suggestions since I'm still in mourning and haven't even begun to look at free agency/trade options.

They can be found in later rounds. Josh Norman and Uncle Dick we're both 5th round picks. We seem to do pretty well in that round if I'm not mistaken.

Fangio was fired. Staff is free to look for work usually but can also stay on with a new HC if he wants to keep them. Ed may also be looking to follow Vic wherever he goes unless someone offers him a DC gig.
