The Hoodie hired him at one point so that's cool (2004). His 2020 DET defense got lit up though.

If there's one team that might be in trouble, it's your Steelers

Yes. He also comes from the Jim Schwartz tree. I think he'll have a great impact on helping to reboot the unit.

He's also worked with a plethora of elite-talent cornerbacks, including Chris Harris Jr., Aqib Talib, Bradley Roby, Malcolm Jenkins, Avonte Maddox and Champ Bailey.

"My overall philosophy would be whatever the players, whoever is on the roster, what's the makeup of the defensive side of the ball, let's do what best fits them," Undlin said. "How are they going to be successful? Let's do that. "
Anyone else scared about the drop off with the D. Saleh was an elite DC.

A lot will depend on health and the roster

Nah, we might actually see more blitzes.

This is a very solid point. Bosa being Bosa will have the biggest impact.

I'm all for it if we can get some good man defenders (via FA or Draft). Looks like Demeco is going to take the defense even further away from the Pete Carroll 4-3 under + Wide 9 - where Saleh had left it.

I can see a temporary drop off as Demeco gets used to being a DC, but the fact that he's surrounded by former DC's - I think - will be very brief as he'll have plenty of help getting him up to speed.

JUST the fact that he is willing to be surrounded by DCs with different styles already shows us that he's going to be MORE innovative than Robert "IMHOTEP" SALEH !!

I think there will be a drop off until DeMeco finds his groove. But that's why it's imperative that Shanahan's offense starts to shoulder more of the load.
