Well earned shutout. Is there some obscure NextGen stat out there about shutting teams out in the 2nd half in four straight games? They need to get on that.

I thought I heard on David Lombardi's channel that it was the fourth or eight time it's happened since the merger, or something like that...

I can't imagine it happening very often (four straight 2nd half shutouts). NFL Network will probably dig it up at some point this week.

Here it is

Wth. NE did it last season. Maybe it's not so special.
I hope he is grooming a replacement.

That'd be awesome if we got Fangio as DC when Demeco Ryans eventually becomes an HC.
Though one thing I wonder--Was it a Fangio thing or a Tomsula thing that our defensive lines under them rarely subbed out?

Seemed like Justin Smith and Aldon Smith were out of juice in our playoff runs during the Harbaugh years because they played so many snaps during the regular season.

Not a fan of Fangio.

He burns out his starters not rotating them enough.

Our D-Line success is based on rotation and keeping the guys fresh all game.

He's a good D coordinator. I'm all for hiring him as long as we keep Kocurek.

Good job defense. Ryans with an other gem of a game. Tua's inaccuracy was very helpful early and MIA was never able to get anything consistent going on offense.

I say hire Brandon Staley- I expect him to be fired. We could also promote from within. Is Raheem Morris's contract up with the Rams? He may want to get off of that sinking ship I think Kris Richard and Brian Flores is available too. I'd comb the college ranks as well.

#2 ranked offense in the league and we really only had 2 major brain farts from our safeties. This D is gonna carry us far.

This is why I'm thinking we can still make a run and hope for a few lucky bounces of the ball. We face some playoff contending teams the next few weeks, as well as the GOAT, but no team offensively that instills the fear in me the way the Dolphins offense does. I think we can hold all five of those teams to 20 or less. We have great players on O and Jordan Mason should've earned some trust. Just play smart football, don't turn it over, keep the chains moving, etc. I didn't see Brock in college, so I'm curious about his deep ball accuracy.

I would say his 2nd half was great, his 1st half was ok. I felt we were lucky Tua was so off in the 1st half. It seemed like their offense was making mistakes more than our Defense was making plays. Now in the 2nd half besides that blown coverage TD, I felt our defense was then making more plays than their offense making mistakes.
