2012 was a squad so that's saying something

I would argue that the 2011 defense was better than 2012's. 2012 started strong, but it wasn't the same after Justin Smith's injury in the New England game where the D played like 90 snaps because of Brady's near comeback. In that playoff run, they gave up a ton of points and the offense played catchup in every game.

Agreed. Carlos Rogers 2011 > Carlos Rogers 2012.

True, the 2011 defense was better. Kap and the read-option carried us to the Super Bowl in 2012.

Maybe he was referring to 2011, but still, that's hella high praise.

PLEASE LET HISTORY FOR ONCE REPEAT IT SELF IN OUR FAVOR
When Saleh left, we have Demeco in our system to take over the position. The defense didn't miss a beat and I'm sure the D players like the continuity. Do we have somebody in the system waiting in the wings or are we going outside if he bolts? I'm sure he will poach some of our assistants for position promotions as well. Hope Jed gives him a competetive pay increase/title to stay. Our D has been lights out and would suck if he leaves along with couple of our assistants he wants to take with him.

That 2012 squad lost them the super bowl.

The rumor is Vic Fangio is waiting and will be the DC next.

Fangio finally got his HC experience off his career bucket list and is ready to be a lifer at DC now.

I am okay with that as long as he is willing to adapt to our wide 9, 4-3 defense.

I was just about to say this.
Pass on Fangio. Who are the assistants currently working under DR? And how much experience do they have? I still think he'll need another year to get hired.
Lol you can just see how Rogers wishes he was our QB
