Jim Swartz is no longer an option to replace Demaco. We may lose a lot of options by the time Demaco is gone.

I highly doubt the 49ers are clueless for a DC target. They have known this was coming for a year. Just because we don't know who is next in line doesn't mean they don't.

To be fair. I did say distraction. Not time consuming.

I'd say time consuming too because many of these interviews can last 8 hours to all day. Organizations take these hires very seriously.

Rather new blood. I want our franchise to be viewed as a destination for coaches. Makes us more likely to attract the best if they see coordinators keep getting head coaching jobs. Remember how Baltimore's defensive coordinators kept getting jobs?
