We would be incredibly lucky to keep him. I think he deserves it I just don't know if he gets one. We shall see

IMHO the zones love affair with him is hot ex girlfriend obsession. Just like Buckner.
Hey hey Buck is a dude! Lol
but I kinda agree with Vic.

Eric Washington-senior defensive assistant/defensive line coach in Buffalo. Got a lot of respect in NFL circles and they run a 4-3 zone with a lot of hybrid stuff. Very good at developing and might be a HC at some point.
Sean Desai-Associate Head Coach for Defense in Seattle.…considered one of the brightest young minds in the NFL. Was a DC for a yr in Chicago.

I don't know if Rtns will get a HC job this year. He may not like any of theopportunities. One thing that may hamper him is the tend seems to be hiring OCs instead of DCs. He still has a good chance of getting an offer but it has to be from someplace that's got a good ownership group or he should pass.
As far as Fangio goes, the best thing about hiring him would be experience and continuity. He isn't likely to leave for a HC job after one or two years.

I expect Vic here.
Rather new blood. I want our franchise to be viewed as a destination for coaches. Makes us more likely to attract the best if they see coordinators keep getting head coaching jobs. Remember how Baltimore's defensive coordinators kept getting jobs?
So who you getting then?
This time, its not apparent like when we lost Saleh. I have no idea, but I think they do. Whether its Udin, Bullocks, etc.

Good names. Was Desai a DC under Nagy?

Thoughts on Darryl Tapp? He's coach K's right hand man. Seems to be a up and comer.
still wouldn't be shocked to see Morris brought in if he can leave LA. Him and Kyle have a lot of experience together.
vic is damn good, he isn't gonna be a HC again so we don't have to worry about him leaving either. I don't want the scheme changing (doubt Kyle does either) and got to wonder how the defense responds to a guy like Vic vs a younger guy?
Not idea if Tapp is at that level. Plus I figured he is gone with DeMeco as his D-line coach.

I gotta say I've lost some respect for Ryans. I understand wanting to get promoted and get a HC job, but FOUR interviews this week - while you should be getting ready fro the Cowboys - is a bit irresponsible. Interviews should be held during the bye week before the Super Bowl, at the very earliest.

Beyond riduculous. Absolutely absurd. Shows no respect for you current organization nor it's players. There's no way you can prepare for 4 interviews, take the interviews and prepare for a playoff game the same week. Complete garbage.

If these interviews are onsite or during team preparation time, you can kiss this game goodbye. If the 49ers defense lose this game, we all know who to blame.

I DONT LIKE this interviewing during the season BS..... A coach should be able to totally focus on the job at hand and not worry about capitalizing on future opportunities. NFL need to make a rule no poaching or interview until after the SB.......

Sooner or later every head coach in this league will be a former 49er assistant.

I don't even have words to directly respond to this rubbish.
I work in the Corp world and I push/develop my direct reports and encourage them to be ambitious in their goals and to take care of their family.
If he cant handle 4 interviews and gameplan for this weekend he has no business being in leadership.
But he can and will handle it.
