My guess is he's going to be the next HC of the Texans and I suspect he'll end up doing very well. He's the complete package in terms of his leadership, football IQ, enthusiasm and ability to make adjustments.

It takes more than having a good football IQ. The HC has way more to do than any coordinator. That's why many great coordinators fail. It's not that they don't know football. They have to be able to build a team and then help maintain it. They need to bring the coaches together so everyone works as a unit instead of individual groups. They need to learn how to manage the clock. They need to learn to work the refs. They need to learn how to handle the press and take the heat.

There's just a lot more to being the top dog than just a title. Some can handle it but many can't. Some try it then find out they're more comfortable being a coordinator. Nothing wrong with that. Many coordinators have had long careers and made a nice living without the headaches that go with the HC job.
Some crappy jobs out there.

The Texans have a lot of what you want with a bad team- cap space and high picks. But will DeMeco be given time? I'd be asking for a 6 or 7 year deal given their track record. I sincerely hope he ends up in Carolina.

And you are saying this because? This applies to any coordinator ever. Should no one aspire to be a head coach? There was a bad narrative on Kyle dating back to his Washington days. Should he have not even bothered interviewing with the 49ers? I just don't get where you are going with this.

This. You could look at a guy like Hackett and question if he had the necessary leadership ability to be a HC. I don't see that with Ryans. The players respect and love him, he also has a long background as a well respected player and unlike a Singletary, he's more than proven his X's and O's and playcalling chops as well. No candidate is guaranteed to be a successful HC but he really is a great one.
I hope he goes to an AFC team.

Denver has a descent D that he's upgrade quickly.

Colts would be a good choice.
being able to hold Dallas to only 3 pts on that muff punt was HUGE! Dallas is the #1 team in the red zone.

He's going to have to come up with his best gameplan ever this week. It's not going to be easy.

Niners were and always will be a destination coaching spot. There aren't many more glamorous coaching jobs available in the NFL

I hear you but we as fans tend to overthink things. The objective is a lot more simple, WIN THE GAME IN THE TRENCHES. The team that accomplishes that wins the game,100% of the time.

Same plan as usual imo safeties deep pre snap to deter the downfield shot plays. Rally to the football on the underneath stuff. Wonder what the plan is for Hurts scrambles? I think we can hopefully hold up vs their conventional run plays. If Hurts is giving em free first downs with the scrambles that's an issue.

It's their 11v11 run game and how they aren't shy with it that could give the 49ers problems. The good part is if any team can contain it, it's the 49ers with Warner/Greenlaw. I posted a video in the other thread about how CHI won some reps versus the PHI run game. PHI is a pick your poison offense, and if I had to pick, it's Hurts keeping the ball so the 49ers can hit him, and Hurts operating a short, rhythm passing game. Because the alternative is Miles Sanders gashing runs up the middle and Hurts bombs away to AJBrown and DSmith.
