Nick Bosa told the DC re: Justin Hilliard. After Matt barrows texted a picture of him through Adam peters to Nick Bosa and Bosa said "you've got to get that guy" from a picture of Hilliard at the senior bowl. I love this team players doing their own scouting and draft input.

You do realize Hilliard was Bosa's teammate at OSU for 3 years so of course he's going to vouch for his guy. Not saying he's not good but just saying

Oh I know they were OSU teammates. But Bosa surely knows what the hell he's talking about with other college players.

What's with all the safeties on the roster and another one being worked out (Blake Countess)? As of today:

Maybe this is normal, with some just acting as camp bodies. Just seems like a crowded safety group.

And Azeez isn't the biggest SAM and Harris played some LB too...seems like there is an added emphasis on the hybrid SS/LB?

Saw some site had us as the 15th defense in the NFL this year

Would love to know how someone reasons that out.

Top 10 defense with major injuries on defense and a lot more awful play on offense to put our defense in bad spots...

Guess the losses of Solomon Thomas, Richard Sherman and Kerry Hyder really going to doom us?

Hated the saleh tenure. People say he knows a lot but he sure doesn't know when to apply that knowledge. Todd Bowles performance in the super bowl shows you what a real DC can do.

Very very excited for this hire.

Ebukam has a reputation for being really good at setting the edge and having the speed to keep a running QB contained, which is why I think we signed him. Hopefully hes a key in improving how we do against mobile QB's.

Agree. Never was a big fan of Saleh. Too linebacker-centric in an age of nickel defense. demeco is making the moves i wish Saleh would have made prior to the super bowl.

Kyle and Lynch making all the right moves. They know Demeco has some good young DC potential but they aren't giving him the heavy lifting. Adding experienced DC's like James Bettcher to support him is simply another perfect chess move for success.
