I'm one of the few that's lukewarm about Vic coming back

I would take him back because I don't think he would leave for another HC gig. Would love to have some continuity with our coaches.

I'm not on the Vic train. One of the things that would make us attractive to the best young coaches is the ability to move up. We lose a lot of that if Vic is DC. We already have an unmovable playcaller.

I'm just not down to change out defensive front. Does coach K stay? I'm not letting him out the door for Vic. There's a bunch of good DC candidates currently out there, I wouldn't be shocked if they just promote as well.

me not worried if Ryans takes some coaches with him... Shanny has built a pipeline now and he seems to always find talented coaches to replace whoever left

imo much more attractive than the DEN job. #2 pick to take a FQB, and much better cap health. And no corny ass QB that alienates his teammates.

Seems like they have a reasonably competent GM too. OC is going to be absolutely critical for him.

Denver's new owners are screwing the coach search. Apparently they want to have input on gameday lol at least that's what the talking heads on the radio are saying.

Not to mention the division. I think LVR and LAC is a good coach away from being competent. KC isn't going anywhere. So DEN is a tough job. Whereas the AFC South has IND and TEN looking lost. JAC is on the come up, but Baalke has shown he can tear things down just as quickly as it gets built up.
And Ryans' familiarity with the HOU fanbase can help him earn patience.

I think at this point they're gonna be patient with him in Texas vs Den. At least if on Ryans I champion for that if I'm taking the job.
