These are professional coaches with a ton of experience. I'm sure they'd make it work.

Wouldn't be surprised if this ended up being Demeco's guy for DC in Houston.

Meanwhile, I'm told the #Panthers have maintained interest In Marquand Manuel as well, per league source.

I'm also told Manuel's name has been included in discussions in Houston to potentially join DeMeco Ryans' staff, if Ryans joins the #Texans, per league source.

I'm guessing DeMeco will bring Jimmy Ward and Tartt with him to the Texans.... allowing Vets in his system help communicate with their new teammates on the field, and for Tartt to compete for a starting role if not depth. I know they have that one youngster with potential.

The #49ers requested permission to speak to Steve Wilks for their defensive coordinator position, source says. He's still under contract with the #Panthers.
