Lol. "Hello Coach Option B!"

Did they throw away picks out of desperation after being rejected or were they after Ryans just to save those picks that were already on the table?
Congrats to DeMeco! I hate to see him leave but he deserves a shot.
I hope he does well and leads them back to the playoffs. He'll need to hire a good OC.

I like that we'll be interviewing Wilkes and Harris. I think both are great candidates.

And I guess nothing was officially done with Miami so we still might interview Fangio.

Should've stayed one more year
Hopefully DeMeco doesn't completely the rest of our coaching staff, but I think there are 8 guys who potentially could leave. I put there position here and their likely position with the Texans. I doubt all of them will go, but they are:

Anthony Lynn - RB's here, potential Texans O.C.?

Klay Kubiak - Asst. QB's here, potential QB coach?

James Cregg or Joe Graves - Asst. O-line coaches here, potential O-line coach?

Bobby Slowik - Off. pass game specialist here, potential O.C.?

Darryl Tapp - Asst. D-line coach here, D-line coach.

Daniel Bullocks - Safeties coach here, D.C. or DB coach .

Mathew Harper Asst. special teams coach here, Special teams coordinator.

While I think it's unlikely, I hope Leonard Hankerson doesn't go. I liked the job he did filling in for Wes Welker, and I don't want to be cycling through receivers coaches year in and year out.
The Broncos are such a mess. I would stay away from that too. I can't see winning there consistently.

Yeah, I like that we are looking at those guys as a replacement too.

He got that 6 year deal though.

Ryans isn't dumb, I'm sure he received quite a few concessions from Houston.

Would've been nice but look what happened to Byron Leftwich, you gotta strike when the iron is hot.

We won't fizzle out

lol what a massive mistake. The Texans are a dumpster fire from the very top down. He'll be fired within 3 years. Should've just stayed put and taken a raise.

Completely disagree. That's the team that drafted him and he's beloved by everyone there and his feelings are mutual. That's his home. Got a 6 year deal so if they fire him in 3 he still wins and will still be coaching somewhere as a DC, if not HC somewhere no question. That division is completely winnable and they have the draft assets and salary to turn things around and compete right away.
Obviously Philly is paying this guy. They value him too much. I guess the 49ers aren't the type of organization to persuade guys to stay.

I wish him all the luck

Gotta win first.
