Completely disagree. That's the team that drafted him and he's beloved by everyone there and his feelings are mutual. That's his home. Got a 6 year deal so if they fire him in 3 he still wins and will still be coaching somewhere as a DC, if not HC somewhere no question. That division is completely winnable and they have the draft assets and salary to turn things around and compete right away.

Congrats DeMeco! All those draft picks... two of the top QB in the draft to choose from, unless the Bears trade their pick to the Colts.

And hopefully an ownership that will leave him alone to coach. They have an interesting division. Titans are always unpredictable in a good way, but their QB situation looks s**t. Jags could be dangerous going forward. Colts also have a s**t QB situation.

He only had 1 initial interview request, and that was from Houston. Easy to remove yourself from consideration when no one is trying to hire your ass.

Its like being told that you're being fired and announcing that you've decided to quit.

By the same logic, Shanahan should have never taken a job with the 49ers since this entire organization was a burning dumpster fire at the time.

Houston fired the source for much of the toxicity in Jack Easterby. They have a respected GM, some good young talent, a crapload of picks abd they play in a weak division. They're well setup for a rapid turnaround.

Man kind of bummed. These people are strangers and nothing to me in the big scheme but on the other hand at times feels like family. I think he was an awesome DC and a great loss to the 9er organization. Wishing him all the luck in Houston.

DeMeco Ryans is not only getting a sweet pay increase but a job only 31 other guys have. He is going to turn the Texans into a defensive terror and likely he'll have several 49ers players in Houston to help in the rebuild. The Texans aren't the best job in the NFL but it is an NFL job and he deserves it. He put in the work and he paid his dues.

Ryans only owes the 49ers a "thank you." Not the rest of his life.

they get 1 extra 3rd in 2023/2024/2025 for Ryans/Carthon , not two
