certainly too early to tell anything. But CJ does indeed have some Mahomes vibes.

I get that CJ is a rookie. However this past game and the one against the Bengals he made some really dumb decisions. Hope that he stops that.

True that. You can't play defense anymore.(a few teams are talented enough front and back) to be good. You need that coach/qb/wr/te combo.

I haven't watched him play in full and I also don't remember watching Jameis Winston much but when I saw what kind of stats he's generating I was thinking Stroud seems like a Winston without the turnovers. Yeah I hope learns from his mistakes so he doesn't repeat them. He's a rookie so the outlook is bright of course.

That OC is so stupid. playing pass on 4th and one, two possessions behind...

I also agree 💯%. Defense is talent, offense is scheme. Got to hire a Offensive minded coach to have the scheme and then just hope and pray you draft well on defense.

He's doing a pretty good job there. They lost. But great coaching with a good young rookie QB.

defense is way more scheme than talent imho sed Fangio. Offense is all about the QB, remember Hoyer who knew Shanny's scheme? Or Jimmy G?

Rooting for the Texans in the AFC. They may get into the playoffs with a few more wins.

I think that's one of the reasons that Kyle didn't hire Fangio, because of Fangio's scheme. My own opinion on Fangio is he's a very good defensive coach, but his system is to linebacker centric for me. His schemes go back to the Dome Patrol back in the days of Joe and Steve. The Wide Nine is essentially a nickel defense based scheme and with Wilks, he has a chance to improve on the Wide Nine's back end coverages. Fangio's defenses center around linebacker play, but in this day and age, linebackers are more like DB's than run stoppers.

Defense is reaction based, while offenses know the snap count and play. So defense, by it's nature, needs to have more talent than offense because of the reactionary nature of the defense.
