Looks like he might be relying on Lenoir, Thomas or Norman early on.

imo 'All gas, no breaks' > Special work ethic and relentless mindset
Is it no brakes like "oh crap, I can't stop", or no breaks as in you keep working and don't take breaks?

I'm ok with SWARM. It's the work smarter mind set, instead of jumping off a cliff and following.

Good point. No brakes means possibly hurting others. No breaks, though, describes a relentless mindset. Imagine working but never taking a break. Those are the kind of workers you want.

It's strange to hear on NFLN that we will go backwards, having lost our former DC to HC at Jets. I really liked Saleh as a DC, but like kyle jokingly said, "He's conservative". While KYle was kidding around, that was true. Somehow, i just have the feeling with Demeco, we are going to be BETTER at DC than we were last yr. He sounds to be more aggressive , which was one of the things i didn't care for last yr on D. Yes we blitzed, but it usually was on 3rd and long. Demeco sounds like he is planning more interesting blitzing than we had with Bob.
Rather than going backwards with Demeco, i think we jump forwards. Stiil haven't seen one ball snapped in anger, but we definitely will have by this time next week. I look for our D and our DC to be better…not worse. One thing for sure. When you have 12 potential starters on DL, something good has got to come out of that.
We got two ACES at LB, and a 3rd good one, plus we could have some extraordinary new talent thru draft with our DBs.
Not really funny. If Saleh is viewed as a good/great DC, then its natural for folks to think the defense might take a step back with a rookie DC replacing him. Honestly if the samething happened with the Cardinals we all would be assuming they woild take a step back.
The same thing happened to the rams this year and nobody is saying that they will take a step back. They hired Raheem Morris and he has 1 season as Atlanta dc and they were horrible.

I really don't hear anybody saying the niners will either. Only hear about it on fan message board setting like this one. I bet if we were part of a rams board that some fans might think their defense could take a step for the same reasons. I think the NFLN network guys think they still have Donald/Ramsey so no matter what they won't fall off. There wasn't a lot of talent on Falcons defense. Plus Raheem Morris has been coaching since 1999 and he's a former HC in the league. Generally viewed as good/solid coach. Some posters brought his name up as a good guy to hire to replace Saleh. DR has been coaching for 3 years. Personally I think the Rams defense is overrated. They just have 2 elite guys

It's "no brakes" as in, you never let off the gas, never slow down. You're going 100% all the time, never letting up cause the moment you let up, you let the opponent back in. It means making the assignments simple and straightforward. We're not out running the LesMans, we're running NASCAR. Pedal to the metal the whole time with straight ahead assignments not having to make 18 calculations about how you need to go in to turn 1 to get the right angle coming out of turn 3 into the short straightaway going into turn 4.

Remember when people on here wanted to bring in Dan "I still run Seattle defense v1.0" Quinn
