Yup. Not worried. I don't think he's built up the contacts/reputation to assemble a formidable staff.

I'm sure he has enough contacts from math club and his World of Warcraft guild to put together a staff.

This, just listening to him at presser I don't see a HC right now or really ever

Are you kidding? He is the best interview on the team. I do see him as more of an OC than the top dog, but the guy is as smart as they come and that is a good place to start.
Lets trade him for one the 1st rd picks we sent over.

Very odd choice for the Dolphins. They would fire Brian Flores and then go after someone like Mike McDaniel? Something doesn't add up.

Maybe they want the polar opposite of Brian Flores.

McDaniel is great, but he's not what comes to mind when I think of a HC in the NFL.

Totally agreed. He has an addiction history too, doesn't he???
the Dolphins interviewed him last year for the OC position. they know who he is.

Juice agrees with me.

He doesn't seem to have the temperament or personality to be a HC.

I think Kyle just keeps him around for their D&D sessions.

He does have a powerful 12th level Paladin.

Hey man! 12th level paladin's are as rare as first round picks!

But agree that he won't be ready to be a HC this year - too soon for him to do it, in my opinion. But hey, if they throw a couple of million at him, geebus, anything can happen at that point.

Ti's that time of the year to raid the 49ers front office and coaching staff. <SIGH!>

He's Kyle's guy going back over a decade and has been with him at basically every stop. He's supposedly got a genius level IQ and has been architect of a lot of the run game. I think losing him would be a huge loss.

It would definitely be a huge loss. He's clearly a really smart guy. His demeanor and personality feels very out of place in the football coaching world. He looks more like a guy that would be working at PFF.

Agree, a professorial kind of demeanor and personality. Where have I seen that before? Yeah, McDaniel would be a huge loss. Kyle better get on his bicycle in the offseason and get some coaching and front office depth for next year - if he's lucky enough not to lose anybody this year, and if he does lose Peters, Carthon, and/or McDaniel, he better forego his off season vacation time and look for their replacements.
