Getting recognition and HC opportunities is the reward for dudes doing as outstanding a job as our assistants (Hightower aside) have earned.

So who would that be Scangarello? I don't know if he the savant teams want, he's a sud QB coach, but struggled running an offense in Denver. McDaniel can't make a lateral move, so I don't know who else there could be, unless they want to take someone from McVay. If that's the case by all means.

Why does the article on the home page say we will receive draft picks if he's hired as Head coach ?
i thought that was only for minorities ?

He's mixed race. Can't remember what races though

The author clearly doesn't know enough about the NFL. My favorite part was when he tried to discredit Andrew Hawkins (who any knowledgeable fan knows played for Kyle and Mike in Cleveland)for saying that "there isn't a brighter mind in the NFL" by saying "I don't know who Andrew Hawkins is". If you're writing an article about someone maybe you know something about them. I'd clearly trust someone who had first hand experience with Mike over this guy. The fact that he didn't know Mike was biracial only amplifies his failure. Maybe he should have done some research first. Okay, rant over lol.
i just don't see him as HC material
I don't know for sure but it almost seems like both the Giants and Dolphins might have Daboll as their top candidate and they might just be waiting for him to choose. if he chooses the NYG then there is a real chance Mcdaniel could turn out to be the backup option. This is all just speculation on my part though. Maybe they haven't decided yet.

I agree.

You saying that isn't going to stop some team from hiring him.

They never said that. I don't see him as HC material either and no my opinion also will not stop anyone from hiring him. Learned in the other thread that we'd get 3rd round picks if it happened, I'd rather lose him then Meco

He can because he doesn't call the plays. If CHI was giving him play calling duties he can make the lateral move

He and Drew Lock were hitting a good stride by the end of the year in Denver. Was by far the best Lock ever looked. Then in a dumbass move that Elway is very well known for he saw Pat Shurmur become available and decided to fire Scangs and bring in Shurmur which stunted Locks growth. Now it likely doesn't change much for Denver in that division but I wouldn't poopoo Scangarello getting a job.

McVay is part of that tree. Go raid his staff.

Agree on Scangarello. Kyle could have chosen any coach in the NFL to be his QB coach, but he wanted Scangarello back. That shows me that Scangarello would be the next in line (or at least a high probability) to succeed McDaniels if McDaniels leaves. He's doing great work (as far as how Trey looked in the HOuston game) with developing Trey Lance.
