Yeah, there's no way in hell the league would return our 1st. That would be completely unfair and not competitive for the rest of the league.

Correct. Since our pick belongs to the Dolphins, there's no way we would see a return, since It has nothing to do with the 9ers.

I have no idea how the NFL would handle it but considering he's bi-racial, he should qualify as a minority hire for the purposes of compensation so the 49ers would be receiving two 3rd round comp picks, one this year and one next year.

So they'd have two 3rds this year and three next year.
