Since someone brought it up "if" they get docked their first round picks this year will there just be 30 picks in this 1st round or is there a possibility that the league returns our pick?

30 picks if they are docked both. Seeing how we aren't in trouble technically our pick they own would be safe. I would assume

Yeah, there's no way in hell the league would return our 1st. That would be completely unfair and not competitive for the rest of the league.

Correct. Since our pick belongs to the Dolphins, there's no way we would see a return, since It has nothing to do with the 9ers.

LMAO this boy tried To do Indian gifting and take it back. I respect the hustle though
I just went back because I was curious and that switch in the 3rd round due to tampering actually hurt cus we got Reggie smith and they ended up getting a decent player in earl bennet. Which was not that bad.

but in the 5th round we missed out on Josh sitton, cornerback Carr, If I remember correctly he was ok and also Gary barnbridge a decent tight end and Ryan torain a serviceable rb.

goes to show you how important those late round picks are

Did he withdraw from the interview yet?

Silver said he's interviewing tomorrow.

If he accepts the job best of luck to him. I think he's heading into a trainwreck.

He can collect his HC salary for a few years and then come back to Kyle.

Someone said he's half black?

I have no idea how the NFL would handle it but considering he's bi-racial, he should qualify as a minority hire for the purposes of compensation so the 49ers would be receiving two 3rd round comp picks, one this year and one next year.

So they'd have two 3rds this year and three next year.

According to the resolution, a team is eligible to receive draft pick compensation if the candidate in question has been "employed by the employer-club for a minimum of two years." There can be no break in employment between teams.

Hey Phoenix, so if I'm reading this situation right would our three thirds next year jump to four should DeMeco get hired in next years coaching cycle? I know that's way down the road and I would hate to lose DeMeco, but four third rounders sounds enticing as well. We could conceivably get four contributors there, which would come in really handy as Deebo, Nick, and Trey should he pan out would all eventually need to get paid.

I can't imagine anyone except the most desperate candidate going to that s**t show.
McDaniel's probably just going through the process of interviewing just to go through the process of interviewing. I don't see him actually wanting specifically this opening.

I think they said he's bi-racial, whatever that means. Not too many bluebloods running around anymore
If it's down to him and Kellen Moore per the chatter I've seen, I think McDaniel is gone.

What were people expecting from Saleh in Year 1?

Jets went 2-14 in 2020 then went 4-13 in 2021.

Technically, unless there's some cap that I haven't seen listed anywhere.

They received three 3rd round picks for Saleh+Mayhew. One in 2021, 2022 and 2023. If McDaniels leaves they get thirds in 2022 and 2023 and if Ryans were to leave next year they'd get thirds in 2023 and 2024.
