They will interview Kellen Moore tomorrow... then likely make a decision after that?
If he gets a head coaching job do the Niners get a 3rd round pick?

2 3rd round picks. 22 and 23 drafts.
If he indeed leaves to be the Dolphins HC, which coordinators you guys think he will take with him?

In that case I want him to be the head coach in Miami. We can rebuild this roster in the next 2 drafts if we lost a hand full of our free agents.

It'd be lovely to re-coup that 3rd round pick we gave up for Trey and then another one in '23, would be outstanding.

They get a comp pick, correct?

I have no idea how the NFL would handle it but considering he's bi-racial, he should qualify as a minority hire for the purposes of compensation so the 49ers would be receiving two 3rd round comp picks, one this year and one next year.

So they'd have two 3rds this year and three next year.

According to the resolution, a team is eligible to receive draft pick compensation if the candidate in question has been "employed by the employer-club for a minimum of two years." There can be no break in employment between teams.

Hey Phoenix, so if I'm reading this situation right would our three thirds next year jump to four should DeMeco get hired in next years coaching cycle? I know that's way down the road and I would hate to lose DeMeco, but four third rounders sounds enticing as well. We could conceivably get four contributors there, which would come in really handy as Deebo, Nick, and Trey should he pan out would all eventually need to get paid.

Yes you are correct 4 3rd rd picks and we'd have 2 in the following yr (our own and Ryans comp)...as lame as the whole "incentives" thing is you could look at SF and see why it was put in place.

Teams putting minorities in a position to get a chance to get those GM/HC gigs...SF is doing just that (and just hiring promoting the best guys for the job regardless of race).

I think Kyle is really good and spotting forward thinking coaches. I just hope he can replace guys at a rate faster than the league is trying to take them at.

Maybe 1 more awful year.
Dolphins seem to really like Mike McDaniel. I'd give the edge to Moore because he's a play caller, but I think they like his mind/ideas.
10 Hour interview sheesh.
