Yah you're probably right. I think if he was gonna be a back again, he'd re-sign in SF. But again you're right, there's a good amount of starter jobs coming up.

Wouldn't surprise me if Kyle called Mike before Mike can call Kyle and let him know they can make room for him if he wants that.

Like, give the guy a little time to turn things around more solidly. Sure, Kyle survived not having his starting QB this year, but he didn't in 2018 and 2020, so that's also a factor, with Tua missing, what, at least 3 games already, right?

If the dolphins fire McDaniels, I would doubt he would return here. I'm sure someone would hire him to be a full time OC where he can all the plays. Kyle won't give him that

So many bad owners in the NFL .. they really hurt the overall product.
Its better to cut ties sooner than later. He had a hot start like many new coaches do, but the way he handled Tua's concussions and the subsequent season collapse was troubling. I don't see him as a very good HC but a great coordinator. Many people here wanted to keep Tomsula even though it was an obvious dumpster fire.
I read somewhere he's like a business owner's son who comes in temporarily to run things during the summer when his dad is on vacation. Accurate.
