They made lot of Fantasy owners happy, so they gave them the top spot.

Cause they dropped 70 points on a scrub team big f**kin deal.

They barely beat New England and almost loss to the Chargers. f**k Miami.

recency bias, niners will dominate the cards while miami comes back down to earth and then niners will be 1 again

I just looked up Miami's draft picks since McDaniel took over and was kind of shocked how he built his team. Not through the draft!!!

2022:
rd 3 - Channing Tindall
rd 4- Erik Ezukanma
rd 7- Cameron Goode
rd 7 - Skylar Thompason

2023:
rd 2 - Cam Smith
rd 3 - Devon Achane
rd 6 - Elijah Higgins
rd 7 - Ryan Hayes

Seems like he is taking the McKay approach in team building in trading for good players and/or signing them in free agency. I honestly don't watch enough of the Dolphins to know if any of these guys has even contributed other than Achane had a big day on Sunday.

I wonder if we are starting to see some GMs come to the realization that draft picks are overrated? Why not trade a 1st round pick for a star player if the hit rate of a 1st round draft pick is less than 50% and plummets further down each round? Why not package some early round picks for s superstar?
I fully respect Miami, but again, high flying offenses rarely win it all.

I don't think even with Mahomes KC ever truly had the #1 offense in the league.

The postseason is always the litmus test for an offense.

Now with the way defensive play has trended downward in recent years, this could become an obsolete reality for championship winning football.

But I'll have to see it to believe it.

And remember, the NFL still prefers QBs over offenses, so Mahomes still has an edge over Tua and even Purdy.....

KC was the #1 offense in PPG last year and #2 in 2019.

Every team that has won the Super Bowl since 2015 except one (the 2021 LA Rams who were #6) has been in the top 5 in offense.

It will be hard for the Dolphins to commit to all that window dressing with Hargrave crashing through the center of their OL.

Dude's notorious for trying to get a rise out of people on every single thread. It's hilarious.
Some of this is DEN just being stupid. Go look at the first TD to Hill. The safety crashes down on Robbie Chosen. Let me repeat that, they doubled down on Chosen, like he was more of a threat, than T Hill.

Teams should be pointing at T Hill at the LOS like the QB points out the Mike. Can't jump a route on Chosen to leave Hill alone over the top. Clown defense, which is the only way you give up 70. They weren't even trying after a while.

There have been a lot of clown defenses and teams that weren't trying after awhile over the last 55 years, but they're the first one to give up 70 points in that time.

no doubt

I think it takes a perfect storm

I didn't think DEN was gonna do much of anything this year, I had MIA as a SB team
it's elite team speed on O, hard to stack that much speed on a roster, then you pair it with a Fangio D
high end coaching both sides of the ball for MIA
