Listening to Mike McDaniel's post game
press conference, pretty sad stuff. What's also interesting is how quickly that fanbase is turning. They aren't saying fire him, but they are a step from that (based on the comments).
I don't think there is an appreciate from fans on just how hard it is to win. It's hard to win in the regular season- I can't stand that ridiculous winning when it counts stuff. All the damn games count. It's hard to put together consistent winning seasons- people that discredit what Mike Tomlin has done, if it wasn't such a big deal, why don't more coaches do it? It's hard to string together multiple dominant seasons. It's hard to win a playoff game. It's hard to have a deep playoff run. It's even harder to do that consistently. And hardest of all, winning a Super Bowl.
It's going to be interesting to see how McDaniel adapts and what Grier does to improve an obviously very talented team. They are good, but don't do well against winning teams. The diet version of the Dallas Cowboys. We'll see.
