What the hell?
Theoretically the NFL can rig a game by choosing what to call and what not to call. The Chiefs were getting called for holding all game last night. I hate to open old wounds, but that pissed me off.

Anyone Else's Heart Sank When the Refs Called a Hold on The Chiefs on that 3rd and 14

Brady is higher on the pecking order than Mahomes, so they'll call the holds. Every fan knows it

No way the NFL wants Brady to win. Especially not Roger. They would've loved for Pat to win and to be the next Brady for 15+ years.
If you are in it to rig it, then you dont make the 40+ year old boxer beat your up and coming young star.
Refs made some bad calls, like they usually do, bu in no way were they favoring Brady. Bucs were the much better team last night.

Huge call here. George Kittle flagged for OPI before the half. Thoughts 🧐⬇️ #49ers #SBLIV pic.twitter.com/Ch4iL89K1w

On 3rd and 15, down 10 with 7 mins or so left. Check out Bosa being held pic.twitter.com/Ad00bNTIxy

And the only way KC could contain Nick Bosa was by holding him all game. #49ers https://t.co/AwA3grsgiv pic.twitter.com/l4SKG3yJYI

Not saying they rigged for Brady, but more like, you're going to see more fair officiating if both teams have star quarterbacks. Goodell was okay with either one in that case.

It helps when your HC has the time to work the refs. Hard for Kyle to do because his time is split with OC duty.

So we need a Ref Manager. Someone smooth like Lynch.

"Oh so NOW you call it" is what I said. I remember last season when it was announced which crew was going to ref the game, they had a reputation of calling fewer penalties compared to other crews. That was a known tendency going into the SF/KC game. SF should have taken advantage - plain and simple.

The problem is that they were calling it unevenly. If you're going to ease off on the penalties, so be it, but then let both teams play, don't call ticky tack PI's in the endzone or that OPI on Kittle. And when the offensive tackle puts Bosa in a chokehold directly in front of the ref, completely impeding his path to the QB over and over, at some point you do have to throw the flag.

3 strait nfc championship games and a trip to the superbowl says it might have, especially when you consider the offenses and qbs he had.

Along with meltdowns in key moments and some controversial calls that went against the 49ers. I wouldn't say Harbaugh throwing a fit on the sidelines did a whole lot to help matters.
