Probably He just has very weak posts for arguments. And he claims that Russell Wilson needs a line? When he's consistently the most sacked quarterback through his own fault as well as having an average O line that improved last year. Also Seattle's defense was great towards the last half of the year but again that's an argument that is based on reality that these guys don't want to admit to.

I texted pics of screen shots to elguapo from The Athletic article discussing Russell Wilson. It's rather scathing, almost like our dream hit piece published.......TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE.......hahahaha.

They quoted a veteran coach saying "What the f**k is wrong with Russell Wilson? He has time in the pocket and is not seeing things and taking sacks. People want him to be Dan Marino, but he isn't. It's ok to not be Marino, but let's call it like it is."

Keep in mind that Wilson had played in two Super Bowls and it took a long time to get that first big contract inked up. Like a lot longer than it took Jimmy 7-0 to get his huge contract.

Now maybe cap wise SF was in a better position not having a stacked team, but still, Wilson was more proven at that point, and you could/should have done it sooner just as a thank you. If Jimmy hits that bomb to Sanders and the 49ers won the bowl, I would honestly not give a s**t about Jimmy's contract. I'd have no problem paying for past services rendered.

So to me, seeing Wilson not get paid so fast, and then be undermined here and there even in recent years WHERE HE'S SCORING THE MOST TDs ever in his career, is telling. Maybe my brain is just wired to see only the negative from Wilson, and dismiss all of the typical highlight stuff.

But I also try to be fair and analytical, which is part of my personality too. So I go above and beyond collecting all of the stats that seem to justify why it is that a QB that throws 34+ TDs a year seems to lead a somewhat anemic offense for major parts of the season, and always in the postseason (always as in always). I see that statistically he has more seasons at 34+ TDs than Steve Young, yet the Seahawks never ever were as well oiled a machine with him as the Niners were with Young, '92-'98. Not once.

So we look at the big picture and see that Wilson is the GOAT scrambler, and maybe top 5 all time deep ball thrower. In the last few years this formula works really well in the regular season. Unfortunately in the postseason, a lot of this is nullified, and Wilson looks like a middling QB.

If Jimmy G was stymied by Cover 2, people would want him thrown off the 49er squad, tomorrow. But with Wilson, it's ok......no big deal.

I hate Wilson's style of play so much, I'll never respect it.

he's still a very good qb especially during the regular season against average defenses and with elite wrs (like hes had the past 2 seasons) and a terrific running game. Not denying that at all. I would just be scared of him playing in the Playoffs that's all
