ownership changed June 22.

Peyton came onboard Feb 23.

Wilson will get $37 M to go away and may still be able to score a $30 M a year contract on top of that .

The fans are the ones who may be the most upset bc the Broncos are in a way giving up on playoffs this year for $$$.

Fans ain't upset did you see the poll, it's DEN fans, and they want Russ benched

I didn't see the poll , but I'm in Denver and early reactions from fans and sports talk radio are dogging Peyton .

I think dogging Payton, cuz perhaps its bad form, to shout him down on the sideline, after you asked him to remove the injury guarantees. If that rumored action is true. Also, Russ in the media, forever takes the high road. So he gets sympathy in that regard. This is a football decision at the end of the day, about winning games. Russ ain't it anymore. If he was they would just build around him, and keep him on contract.

Russ doesn't play within structure, he doesn't throw in rhythm, he holds the ball, he invites pressure and sacks, he lacks the athleticism he once had to ad lib in those moments, and he's just getting a year older as we look to next season, on a fat deal. He's not accurate, and Payton has done his best to hide him in the offense. Aside from that, he's a heck of a quarterback.

Russ is the same guy he always was he just can't run around and pull things out his ass. There is no "washed". Same guy. Now the flaws stand out more because the system isn't designed around his backyard football.

Your first sentence, contradicts your 2nd sentence.
bolded for ease of seeing, the contradiction

But that's not washed. That's a flawed QB who just happened to be in the system where his skill set was accentuated.

If he went somewhere where they let him just play backyard football and hid his inability to throw on time he could still be productive. But that requires a stacked team to make him look great.

Hes always been this guy. It's not injures or age.

Football decision in that they don't value him at his current contract .

he waives the injury clause and/or restructures his contract .... he is still their QB rest of this year and next year .
Dude has been washed since the super bowl loss at the one yard line.

Broncos ate the hype and went all in. He relies on passing scrambles akin to backyard football......and Pass interference or roughing the passer. Hasn't worked that well the last two seasons.

Well how come he was able to pull rabbits out of the hat vs us for years, and now per you, 'he just can't run around' and do it anymore? He's pretty old, man.. for NFL terms. Cam Newton is younger, and long been retired. I think what I see on this board, is ppl don't know guys are washed, until it's too late. If you think about it, he was washed a while back, that's a major reason why SEA hit the eject button. Left DEN holding the bag.

Because they had Lynch and an elite D. So they scramble drills worked. No different than Philly.

Russ was never gonna fit that offense because it's not his skill set and they don't have the team to hide his flaws. Hurts would suffer the same in Denver.

What specifically is washed from Wilson that wasn't in Seattle?

What you see on this board is people not willing to buy guys are just falling off cliffs but rather realizing they always had flaws but now don't have the coaches and systems to hide them.

Wilson's strength and the reason he beat the Niners so often was his ability to extend plays and find an open receiver downfield. He doesn't move as well as he used to and his arm may not be quite as strong but this is about money and Wilson not fitting what Payton wants. If he's on the roster in April he gets a guaranteed $30 mil. They don't want to take a chance on him getting injured in the final 2 games and then not being able to be released because of it.

His arm is still plenty strong. The quickness is gone to some degree but he's still quick enough to make plays if things break down.

Payton wants a guy like Brock who sees the field. His scheme can't protect a guy that doesn't. No different than McDaniels scheme couldn't protect Jimmy.

We saw JG in that McD scheme and made him the face of our franchise. That's where your logic face plants into the dirt.

Heck of a QB....lol.
He's going to go back to Seattle, and make them an actual threat again. He makes me sick
