Ex-NFL WR Vincent Jackson found dead in Florida at age 38
"The Hillsborough County (Florida) Sheriff's Office said Monday it is investigating the death of former NFL wide receiver Vincent Jackson.
The 38-year-old Jackson was found dead at approximately 11:30 a.m. on Monday at the Homewood Suites in Brandon, Florida. Police said there were no apparent signs of trauma and the Hillsborough County Medical Examiner's Office will determine the cause of death.
According to hotel staff, Jackson, who is a South Tampa resident, checked into the hotel on Jan. 11 and had been staying in a room since that date.
Jackson's family reported him missing on Wednesday and a formal report was filed Thursday, but police located Jackson at the Homewood Suites on Friday. The missing persons case was canceled after Jackson's well-being was confirmed."

Damn you beat me to it by like 5 seconds.
"No trauma" is odd. Suicide? Regardless, it's tragic.

My first thought was....that's a long ass time to be staying in a hotel room. I'm guessing he may have been visiting friends and former teammates for the playoffs and SB but damn.

Recently I found myself wondering what happened to this guy. Turns out he had just aged out of the league. Didn't expect this turn of events for Vincent Jackson. Way too young for him to go. Gotta be foul play involved. Terrible.

Tragic. Thoughts and prayers to his friends and family.
When he was with San Diego, my friends and I ran into him at the airport and he bought us a round of shots. Seemed like a genuinely good guy. I hope this isn't CTE

Most likely this. Police did a wellness check on him on 2/11 from what I read.
