I think he's on the PUP because he refuses to show up. Has already stated publicly he won't play under his current deal.

So the team that trades for him will have to pay him and we don't have the cap nor should we pay a 30 plus year old cb whose been hampered with leg injuries
The cost of unnecessarily trading up for a QB is that we lose the flexibility to make these kinds of moves, not that I would want Gilmore at such a price anyways

Teams have proven year in, year out that the cap doesn't really mean much. Just look at KC. You could easily resign him to a back loaded deal that hits after we get rid of Jimmy.
I have no faith in Eman, A.Thomas, Norman, Lenoir to lead us to a SB. I mean Goff was tearing us apart. We need to trade for Gilmore or even CJ Henderson from Jacksonville! But we need to make a trade because there is no one on the market right now who could fill Verrett's void

They threw the ball nearly 60 times yesterday.

idk what secondary you have, when you are throwing the ball 60 times and down multiple scores, you're gonna rack up yards.

This. People need to chill. Lions were also getting away with holding and offensive PI because of how badly they were being beaten.

im all for a trade to bolster depth at CB but secondaries are going to struggle when they have that many passing plays.

That aside though, our depth at CB was already bad. Now we only have a guy past his prime, a solid guy who has a nagging injury, 1 rookie who is underperforming, 1 rookie who looks promising but jury is still out, and one guy who shouldnt be on any NFL roster. I hate the idea of trading more of our future picks but i really do think we have a SB roster, aside from our CB group. We will see how bad our CB group is when we go against Rodgers week 3.

What's wrong? Nothing. What's wrong with you? Having a DPOY 2 years ago that's still an elite cb is worth so damn much. Wouldn't you want him from week6 to the playoffs? You do realize that will have to face elite wrs like Hopkins Metcalf Lockette Adams and countless others....and if we play TB in the playoffs??? They have Evans Godwin and A brown.

why would we want a great cb
