Stephon Gilmore, CB

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Patriots were roughly $54,000 under the salary cap, barely enough room to operate throughout the remainder of the 2021 season. They'll clear about $5.8 million in 2021 cap space through Gilmore's release, enough to absorb new linebacker Jamie Collins Sr.'s contract as well as have some breathing room.
Please Lynch sign this guy and save our season. We need a corner to help shut down the elite receivers in our division as well as teams in the conference like Tampa Bay and so on. I've been screaming for a corner Since free agency. Do the right thing and give our team hope. We can't rely on corners that were sitting on the couch a few weeks ago and we are sick and tired of defensive pass interference calls which cost us games. f**king do it already! And it does not cost us a second or third round pick. I am sick and tired of our front office doing their due diligence and failing miserably. It's about time to get this move done! Don't talk about it do it. Restructure our contract to do whatever you have to do, extend somebody I don't care
If we want him, it's going to take a multi-year deal. With Bosa's extension coming up I'm not sure it'll happen. Jimmy's 2022 salary was supposed to go to Bosa, I think.
He's gonna end up on the Bucs

then so be it. I don't know about everyone else but I'm sick and tired of teams beating us because our secondary can't stop one receiver from going off on us year after year after year. It cost us the most important games. We really need a corner that's very very good. Sherman was pretty solid for us, last year Jason V was great but now we cannot get by with what we have. If it means we have to take a hit at another position group that's fine we have enough depth. What we do not have is a corner to stop the receivers in our division, conference or even the Chiefs or bills in the AFC.
I know in my mind it's not the best idea to give an older injured guy a big-ish contract but my heart says f**k that. We are always "prudent" and look where it's got us! Go for broke motherf**ker!

They're going to punt Sherman for him too.
Don't get your hopes up. This team isn't aggressive. We'll show slight interest and then get beat out by a team who doesn't care about the cap, like Tampa, KC, or someone in our division.

He is coming off an injury I don't think many teams will be throwing multi year contracts at him without seeing how he looks.
Pats could still trade him. This is what the raiders did with their Center. "Hey he's cut at 1...oh we traded him NM"
Get Gilmore now!! At ALL COSTS. Even if you have to restructure someone.

Have Paraag pull off some of that Chiefs magic.

KC has players under contract that they're willing to restructure.
Anyone is better than what we have.
He's most likely would not want to come here unless we pay the most
