Ravens get the Chiefs 1st, 3rd, and 4th this year and 5th next year. Chiefs get Brown, Ravens 2nd this year and 6th next year.

Seems like the Chiefs made out on that deal. I'm surprised the Ravens would even trade with them.

That leaves KC with 5 total picks in this draft and four of them are in the late 4th or later.

Yeah I would rather lose him for nothing, Than help out a team that is already favorites in their conference. Ravens should at the very least held out for more. The Chiefs were desperate. They witnessed Mahomes getting killed in the SB, They lost two All-pro tackles and failed to land Trent Williams. Though I do wonder how the Chiefs could afford to extend him. He is in the final year of his contract and looking to get paid huge. They will need to extend Hill soon, Mahomes contract will start to kick in next year as will Kelce's.

For his sake I hope he gets the Chiefs to pony up before Bosa owns him in the SB next year

I got nervous when I saw Trent Williams trending on twitter. But it was because of this trade.

Brown wants to move to LT because he knows that's where the value is and then saw what Trent Williams got paid this off season. And apparently there was no contract extension as part of the trade and Brown plans to play out this season without an extension. He is only 24. So yeah I don't see him signing any contract right now unless the Chiefs just blow him away with an offer. He might want what TW got and is willing to bet on himself. Chiefs could find themselves next year in the same position we were this year. Except we only gave up a 3rd and 5th for Williams.

Maybe brown would be excited by $12 and a half eaten bag of cheetohs that the chiefs could currently give him.

Chiefs can tag him if needed. And with a rising salary cap for next season, they can afford it.
