Shanahan is. They don't need that cancer on the team.

Not sure what'd he teach Lance anyways. How to never slide? Read defenses at a rudimentary level, even as a veteran? Piss off your teammates? Piss off your coaches by going over their heads to the owner? Spend years being bitter about the guy who outplayed and replaced you a QB?

Yea, Mike Shanahan thought WAS was crazy to give up all those picks for a guy they didn't think could throw well from the pocket. In essence, Mike didn't want him so I highly doubt Kyle would be interested. Teaching Lance to recklessly run all over the place until getting seriously injured isn't on the docket.

Given Rich Scangarello's record of having gotten Jimmy and Nick ready to play in this offense in a relatively short period of time, it doesn't make sense to bring in someone who would appear to have his own agenda (get a job) to do what has already been proven to be successful. BTW, at last count, we have five QBs in the mix. There aren't any more chairs in the room.

What a weird off-season. Every month or so has been dominated by a different quarterback. Stafford, then Watson, then Jones, now it's gonna be Rodgers for a while. I've never seen something like this before.

It's because the NFL is THAT popular. FF has brought in a wider range of ages and genders. The other sports are not taking advantage of Fantasy.

And man is Denver stupid. Got left holding the bag while trying too hard to go after Rodgers.
Broncos offensive tackle Ja'Wuan James is expected to miss the entire 2021 NFL season after suffering a torn Achilles today.

James experienced the injury while working out on his own, away from the team facility, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN. That he got hurt on his own — and not at the voluntary team workouts that many players are choosing not to attend this offseason — means the Broncos are not obligated to pay his $10 million salary for 2021.

NFLPA encouraging players to work out on their own, away from team facilities just screwed James.

James had been working out Broncos facilities, changed to private workouts off-site due to union stance.

Private workout NOT covered under team insurance. Wipes out guarantees in contracts.

Makes you wonder if the NFLPA will start to reconsider their stance on this. If I'm a player, no way I'm not working out at the team facility.

Jeff Kent and Madbum come to mind, even if it wasn't working out.

In reference to:

Patrick Mahomes, other players confused by Broncos' ability to not pay Ja'Wuan James

The Ja'Wuan James injury, while bad for him, could be good for NFL players generally.

Players seem to be realizing that there's a very real difference between getting injured while working out at the team facility and getting injured while working out elsewhere.

The news that James, who has (or at least had) a $9.85 million fully-guaranteed salary for 2021, will most likely lose that money because he suffered a torn Achilles tendon while working out away from the team facility was met with confused by players like Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes.

"So they are going to take his contract for working out in the off-season???" Mahomes said on Twitter.

Yes, they will. They will because they can. They especially will because the NFL Players Association has tried to get players to boycott voluntary offseason workouts this year, prompting the league to directly remind teams (and to indirectly remind players) that any player who suffers a serious injury away from work risks losing his salary. In the case of Ja'Wuan James, the price could be even greater.
