Yes, if only to protect your money.

Makes you wonder if the NFLPA will start to reconsider their stance on this. If I'm a player, no way I'm not working out at the team facility.

Agreed. Not saying it's right, but contractually speaking it is best to do that in order to protect yourself (and your earnings capacity for your family).

Broncos offensive tackle Ja'Wuan James is expected to miss the entire 2021 NFL season after suffering a torn Achilles today.

James experienced the injury while working out on his own, away from the team facility, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN. That he got hurt on his own — and not at the voluntary team workouts that many players are choosing not to attend this offseason — means the Broncos are not obligated to pay his $10 million salary for 2021.

NFLPA encouraging players to work out on their own, away from team facilities just screwed James.

James had been working out Broncos facilities, changed to private workouts off-site due to union stance.

Private workout NOT covered under team insurance. Wipes out guarantees in contracts.

Not usually a fan of Goliath (or I often don't side with them), but the CBA makes it clear how David's can protect themselves from losing out on money due to injury (by training at the team facility instead of on their own). So this time the bad guy in this situation is not Goliath. Ja'Wuan James and players in similar situations are just very unlucky and I feel for these guys. Smith does not help the players by calling the NFL "gutless" on this issue. I know it's his job to look out for the players but that guy is in large part a clown. As much as I don't like it, the players agreed to the CBA which governs this stuff so they don't have a leg to stand on (pun not intended). Just so unfortunate.

Jan 9th 2022 @ Bengals
Thought it was pretty humorous, aparrently Saleh at OTA the other day totally forgot he was the HC. Don't know if that's funny or pathetic.

If they're going to do 17 game seasons let the roster be at least 50 on gameday instead of 46.
