Yep. You get what you pay for.

Bosa, Armstead, Ford, Samson.. if everyone is healthy and makes a full recovery - that is not a bad lineup of pass rushers at all.

I don't know who else we are keeping from last year - I haven't been following closely enough.

Interesting signing. His web chart says he is explosive as f. 95 broad jump? Dear lord.

He will play as a situational pass rusher not standing up, hands down. Too small to play everydown. The Niner's are relying/banking on his athleticism. That the Rams misused him as a OLB and that Kris Kocurek can make him betteras a PR. He ran a 4.5 40 in college. They are hoping that his speed off the edge in wide 9 will kill. I had hoped that the niners would resign Hyder, but they must think that Ebukam has more potential as a PR. Hyder had his best career year with us, before that he was similar to Ebukam. Kris was high on Hyder last year, he might be just as high on Ebukam or higher. If he is even higher, then I hope only good things, only thing is Kris was familiar with Hyder having coached him before. Hyder is bigger and used his size and strength to get his pressures. Not a speed rusher at 5.1 40, but is better to set the edge. Which Sam won't be doing.

Last season, Ebukam ranked fifth among all outside linebackers in pressure rate at 14.7 percent, trailing only Markus Golden, T.J. Watt, Matthew Judon and Bradley Chubb. Should go up as a situational pass rusher.

Ebukam also had a higher pressure rate than Kerry Hyder Jr. (12.6 percent), although Hyder had 8.5 sacks last season. Samson played in 35.5% of Rams defensive snaps.

Here's a thought. Maybe the plan is just to plug him in next to Warner and just have the two of them patrol the middle. With a little blitz or mismatch here and there for flair.

Tampa sorta showed this as a good blueprint to combat a modern offense. As did we the year before.
